Addiction and Detoxification Technician

MAJOR FUNCTION: Under the direction of Registered Nurses and physicians, assists in the provision of

patient care and with maintaining the patient care environment in the Detoxification Department. Addiction

and Detoxification Technicians shall not function as regulated/licensed professional.


A. Education: High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) required. New Jersey C.N.A.

certification, Graduation from an approved practical nursing program (LPN), Certified EMT, or Certified

Medical assistant required.

B. Experience:1-2 years' experience is required Customer service skills are required

Recent experience in the specialty area (acute care, detoxification, behavioral health, addictions) is required

C. Certification/Licensure: American Heart Association BLS required CPI initial for new hires within 60

days followed by annual de-escalation training provided by Inspira.
