MAJOR FUNCTION: The Manager reports to the Corporate Director of Supply Chain Management and provides strong leadership and support to the supply chain team, including the areas of purchasing, sourcing, OR operations and storeroom distribution operations. This team consists of 40+ team members within our network in five different locations (Bridgeton, Elmer, Vineland, Mullica Hill and Woodbury). Organizes and manages the acquisition process within the health system to ensure operational efficiency while obtaining best price and value for the organization. Manages staff of purchasing agents to ensure product requirements, quality, receipt, and budget objectives are met while striving to standardize equipment, services, and supplies across the network. Ensures that storeroom operations run smoothly and provide prompt, efficient service to end users. Directs storeroom leadership to optimize pars and maintain appropriate inventory levels. Works closely with vendors and internal customers to achieve network goals and initiatives. Represents Supply Chain Management on various project teams, process improvement teams and committees.


A. Education: Bachelor's degree required, preferably in a business discipline or related field. Ten years experience will be considered in lieu of degree.

B. Experience:

  • Ten years management experience preferably in a medical supply chain environment.

Successful track record of managing and prioritize multiple time-sensitive projects

Strong negotiation and presentation skills

Sales ability, persuasiveness, planning, project management, facilitation and critical thinking skills

Data analytics skills

Ability to manage conflict and build strong relationships

Prior experience in Lawson Software is preferred

Strong Microsoft Office skills with emphasis on Excel
